The Truth About Evolution and Religion
is a YouTube video that sheds light on the conflict about the teaching of evolution in the United States. Peer-reviewed articles, biology textbooks, and scholarly works are quoted to show:
- Evolutionary biology studies only the bodies of human beings, not their souls.
- Natural selection only explains the adaptation of animals to their environment, not common descent.
I am on the list of speakers
of The Shroud of Turin Website and have published a slideshow about the Holy Shroud
on the internet. On October 1, 2014, I filed a canonical complaint against Cardinal Dolan
for suppressing my slideshow/lecture about the Holy Shroud.
I wrote an article published on Creation Wiki
which explains why an "Entropy and evolution" (Am. J. Phys., Vol. 76, No. 11, November 2008) should be retracted. I summarize my correspondence about this scandal at Pseudoscience in the American Journal of Physics.
I asked the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to correct the Catholic Church in the United States for promoting irrational arguments for God's existence. These arguments are based on science rather than the arguments based on the metaphysics of Thomas Aquinas. My correspondence is at Rational Arguments for God's Existence: Evangelizing Is Good and Proselytizing is Bad
My essays and reviews of books have been published in The Church of England Newspaper, Spero News, Sight Magazine, OrthodoxyToday.org, ReligionAndSpirituality, and the Midwest Book Review.
I graduated from Fordham College in 1964 with a B. S. in physics and from New York University in 1971 with a Ph. D. in physics. My work history in business and education is on my public profile at LinkedIn.
In September 2011 and August 2013, Truth Talk Radio with Myron Westmoreland interviewed me. The 2011 interview was about politics and the 2013 interview was about evolution. All of my podcasts are at Science and Religion
I had a two-hour interview with James H. Fetzer on May 16, 2016. It was his 200th show and is titled, "Science and Religion.
I was a high school science teacher in New York City from 1984 to 1998 and developed a learner-centered method of teaching physical science and physics. I recount my experiences at Teaching for the New York City Department of Education: A Teacher's Efforts to Improve Public Education
I keep a record of my communications
with everyone about "Entropy and evolution," the Shroud of Turin, and arguments about God's existence. My record of correspondence with the United States Congress at Pseudoscience in the American Journal of Physics
